B. H. Caroll Jr., wrote a section of his book, on the "Anti-Mission Movement," titled "Rise of the Hardshells." In that chapter he showed that Alexander Campbell was the "father of twins," the "twins" being "Hardshellism" and "Campbellism."
Anyone familiar with the history of these two sects knows how true is this description. I will be writing upon this in future chapters of my book on the "Primitive Baptist Church."

Mr. Garrett,
This is not an attack on you, but surely you can make better use of your talents and education.
Why spend so much energy on such a task?
Mr. Garrett, also 61 years old like you and my life experience has taught me that one so bent on attacking others belief from such a defensive posture is more trying to convince himself. May the God of peace grant you peace and a knowledge of the truth as it is in Christ Jesus our Sovereign our Most High God.
Bro.Garrett,
I am a pastor of a Primitive Baptist Church in Mississippi. I do not agree with everything you write in your book but I do appreciate your writing about Primitive Baptists. While there is some truth in what you write, I believe there are also some errors. Of course the errors can be forgiven, because we are all mortals and subject to error. You write with a broad paint brush. Most Primitive Baptists churches are independent churches and each church must be examined by the Bible. Our church tries to follow the Bible in our doctrine and practices as close as we can according to our understand by the Spirit's leading. I would love to discuss your book and your views with you in a personal form. I remember your father is a great debater, I do not care for debates. He and I did do some debating in a paper I published while I was among another order. That is not what I had in mind, but you may contact me through my email if you are interest in a Christian discussion.
Dear Unknown:
I cannot contact you through your email if you do not give it to me. Also, who are you? Herb Hatfield? You can write me at my email (which is given on the web page profile) which is octoberday5@yahoo.com. I don't mind having a Christian discussion via private email with certain conditions.
Looking to hear from you so we can discuss the things you enumerate.
In Christ Alone,
Stephen Garrett
